Job Qualifications and Role
Provider 1: Have completed or currently be enrolled in a master’s degree program at an accredited college or university in one of the behavioral or child-development sciences or a related field (e.g., mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, etc.) Received observation and direction from a qualified supervising professional (QSP) at least once per month until meeting 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience.
JOB ROLE
(same job role for all levels)
Family training- 1-1 training to parents
1- Level I will train parents how to be self-sufficient
2- Level I will work with parents on the goals and objectives the child is being taught at the center.
3- Level I will write progress notes
4- Level I will educate parents on safety
5- Level I will advocate for parents in community services and with school staff
6- Level I will participate in EIP
7- Level I will join the monthly meeting with the whole team
8- Level I will provide culturally sensitive services
9- Level I will help with family in any legal services
Provider 2: currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in one of the behavioral or child development sciences or allied fields (such as but not limited to, mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, or occupational therapy) from an accredited college or university. I also receive observation and direction from a qualified supervising professional or Level I treatment provider at least twice per month until meeting 1,000 hours of supervised clinical experience. Have an associate’s degree in a behavioral health or child development science or related field including, but not limited to, mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, or occupational therapy from an accredited college or university; and at least 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience in delivering treatment to people with ASD or a related condition. You may include hours worked as a mental health behavioral aide or Level III treatment provider in the required hours of experience. Have at least 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience in delivering treatment to people with ASD or a related condition. You may include hours worked as a mental health behavioral aide or Level III treatment provider in the required hours of experience. Graduate student in behavioral science, child development science, or related field and I am receiving clinical supervision by a QSP affiliated with an agency to meet the clinical training requirements for experience and training with people with ASD or a related condition. At least 18 years of age and fluent in a non-English language and have completed the Level III EIDBI training requirements. I will receive observation and direction from a QSP or Level I EIDBI provider at least once a week until I meet the requirement of 1,000 hours of supervised clinical experience.
